Thank you for your interest in becoming a food and beverage concessionaire at the Texas Puerto Rican Day Parade & Festival, hosted by Bombazo DFW! This event celebrates Puerto Rican culture, music, food, and community in Texas, bringing together thousands of attendees for an unforgettable experience.  Below you will find important information regarding the application process, requirements, and regulations for participating as a food or beverage vendor.  


APPLICATION PROCESS  

● A Vendor Application must be submitted before March 31, 2025.  

● Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.  

● Selection notifications will be sent via email 24-72 hrs. after application is received.  

● Each application must provide a detailed description of the food and preparation methods.  

● Unique and culturally relevant Puerto Rican and Caribbean cuisine is strongly encouraged.  

● Please include high-quality photos of your food items.  


New concessionaires are selected based on the following criteria:  

✔ Uniqueness of the menu and authenticity of Puerto Rican flavors  

✔ Availability of space at the festival venue  

✔ Experience in food service and compliance with regulations  

✔ Festival needs for diverse food and beverage options  


VENDOR REQUIREMENTS  

1. Deposit & Fees:  

A. A fee is required for each location.  

B. Vendors are responsible for all setup, teardown, maintenance, and cleanup of their space 

2. Food & Beverage Sales:  

A. Vendors must operate within the designated hours of the event.  

B. Utilities & Equipment:  

1. Vendors must provide their own cooking equipment, tents, tables, and displays.  

2. Propane, butane, and open-flame cooking must be pre-approved by the festival organizers and local fire department.  

3. Electrical and water access are available at designated locations.  

4. Permits & Health Regulations:  

a. Vendors must obtain a health permit from the local city health department.  

b. Compliance with Texas Food Establishment Rules is required, including:  

● Hot and cold running water  

● Three-compartment sink  

● Hand-washing stations  

● Proper food handling and storage  

c. A Certified Food Handler License is required for all food employees.  

d. Insurance & Liability:  

● Vendors must carry a Commercial General Liability Insurance Policy (minimum $1M coverage).  

● Vendors serving alcoholic beverages must have a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) License.
