Our history
BombazoDFW was founded in 2018 and it consist a group of passionate volunteer individuals who recognized the need to bring the rich traditions of Bomba and Plena to the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. Rooted in African and Puerto Rican heritage, Bomba and Plena are rhythmic and dance-driven musical genres that have been passed down through generations. We believe that these art forms serve as a bridge between cultures, promoting unity and understanding among people of diverse backgrounds.
